As part of the mosaic team, I was tasked with expanding the ‘My Irish Life’ digital footprint by launching dedicated mobile and tablet applications. The project’s primary objective was to provide users with on-the-go access to their investment portfolios and pension funds, mirroring the functionality of their existing web dashboard in a mobile-first environment.

Technical Description

To ensure a rapid and cost-effective launch, the client opted to utilize a hybrid webview architecture. I managed the design and development of custom intro scrollers and responsive navigation menus, ensuring that, despite the web-based backend, the user experience felt indistinguishable from a fully native application.

Interesting Notes : 

During the discovery phase, we evaluated the feasibility of a fully native build versus a hybrid approach. The client ultimately made the strategic decision to proceed with a webview model, as it offered the best balance of speed-to-market and long-term maintainability for the Irish Life internal teams.
