DIYWeddingVideos.ie is a wedding video editing service I created to allow couples to create a lower cost wedding video of their special day. 

Product Summary

I created the service using a series of contractors across Fiverr, PeoplePerHour and Freelancer.

Couples come to the site and select their package. They are then given a small ebook that I created with the aid of a copywriter and graphic designer. This ebook gives tips on shooting a wedding video and suggests scenes and equipment to use.

On the wedding day, couples assign suggested scenes to their friends and family to record. They then upload the footage to a shared Google Drive where one of the video editors I have on file combine the footage into a single finished wedding video.

The Ebook

The Ebook includes a number of task sheets and gives advice on every aspect of recording your own video. 

I directed what sections should be included and edited the book into a finished product that could be given as a bonus to all customers.

The real reason for this book is to ensure that the footage we end up receiving is of a higher quality and thus the video we end up with is one myself and my contractors can stand over.

Interesting Notes

The first video that was created through the business was of my own wedding. 

After completing one or two videos, I realised that the management required to get these videos over the line made them only marginally profitable. 

As a result of this,  I ceased the digital marketing campaigns I was running for the business (paid search and display) and now no longer take on projects for the business.
