Short Term Sorted

ShortTermSorted.com was a short term property management business I ran for a number of years in Dublin, Galway and Clare. This business was born out of necessity. After purchasing my first home at auction in the summer of 2015, I took the precaution of carrying out some repairs on the roof before winter hit. To fund this, I decided to raise money by letting out the property on a short term basis for a few weeks. 

 Having some success with this, I decided to start a business offering short term lettings & management services.

After optimizing the management process of the business I started to research Product Design which ultimately led to my Masters degree and subsequently into a career in Operations and Product Design.

Remote Process

As I was managing a portfolio of properties across a number of different counties, I had to put systems in place to help automate the business.

Upon booking, guests would receive a message with directions to download a comprehensive information pack from a WordPress website I had built on PeoplePerHour.com

This pack contained directions and instructions on how to obtain keys from lock boxes at each of the properties. These packs also gave full details on how to operate everything within the properties.

Staff I hired in each county managed the collection and drop off of all laundry, cleaning and property maintenance.
